Our circus-in-education workshops are all about achieving new skills in a supportive environment, keeping each other safe.
Suitcase Circus activities are cooperative, not competitive. Students strive for improvement of their abilities together, there is no ‘competitor’ or ‘other team’.
It is this cooperative nature of our programme which keeps the activities safer than many sports.
The equipment we use is all specifically selected for use in schools.
After a good introduction to the skills, older students (Aged 10+) can be shown how to work together to safely practice some ‘full body’ skills which can have an element of risk. They learn how we need a ‘spotter’ when practicing certain skills & are shown other aspects of training safely. These students are then able to attempt a new challenge together such as certain acrobalance positions, walking on learner stilts or riding a unicycle.
